Vlatko graduated from the University of Zagreb Law School in the top of his class. Furthermore, in 2011, Vlatko obtained a Master’s degree (LL.M.) at the University of Hamburg, China – EU School of Law (Beijing, PR China), which encompassed EU Law, International Trade Law, International Arbitration and Cross-border Litigation, International Corporate Law and Construction Law.

Vlatko’s professional development was steered by his 8-year work at Šunić i Partneri, a first-tier law firm in Croatia, during which time he also passed the Bar Exam and was admitted to the Croatian Bar Association. Vlatko was thereafter made an equity partner at the said firm, where he predominantly advised medium to large clients on various aspects of construction law, corporate and commercial law. His daily legal counselling consisted of addressing various legal matter that the clients may have encountered – either in the course of their regular business operations (involving e.g. construction contracts, FIDIC contracts, arbitration and commercial litigation, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance), or in their specific projects (e.g. public procurement procedures, FIDIC projects, construction claims management, due diligence assignments and project finance deals).

In this regard, Vlatko has advised some prominent international companies and groups in their business operations on the Croatian market.

Having acquired significant experience through his work with one of the leading law firms in Croatia, Vlatko founded Law Office Kregar with a vision of creating a high-quality legal practice capable of undertaking a wide range of instructions whilst still retaining the valuable one-on-one approach to understanding and addressing the clients’ needs.
